Site Launch: The Classroom Fund

Founded in 2011, The Classroom Fund is a project of the El Paso Community Foundation created to support El Paso and Las Cruces Area teachers. Teachers can visit the website and fill out a request for materials to be funded by The Classroom Fund. The project is open to K-12 full-time educators in El Paso and Las Cruces.

Site Launch: El Paso Bid Depository System

The El Paso Bid Depository System contacted Impulse Development to create a new website to help manage construction bids between general contractors and subcontractors. After logging in, subcontractors can view details about upcoming construction projects and place their bids through a secure interface. Once the bid deadline has passed, general contractors can log in and retrieve their bids.

We teamed up with the ultra-talented Viva Creative Group to create a new site for Midwest Technology Group. Midwest Technology Group developed their RIMS software (Retail Information Management Systems) to streamline donation information, inventory management, pricing, and reporting in a single, easy-to-use interface. The website highlights features of the software and includes customer testimonials.

iPhone App Launch: Plaza Classic Film Festival

The world's largest classic film festival now has its first iPhone app! We developed the Plaza Classic Film Festival iPhone app which includes a schedule of events, a synopsis of each film, YouTube trailers, and a customizable agenda for keeping track of films you want to see.
The festival runs through Sunday, August 14, so be sure to download the app from the App Store today!

Lizette Porras is the newest member of the Impulse Development team. A 2007 advertising graduate from UT Austin, Lizette moved back to her hometown of El Paso, Texas and started her career at a large, local advertising agency. She decided to make the move to Impulse Development in May 2011, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome the genius that she so effortlessly exudes (her words.) As our account manager, Lizette is here to be a liaison between our developers and clients.
Lizette is a fan of good music, lover of pilates, admirer of fashion, and prefers herbal tea over coffee.

We recently launched a new site for MaxMina Consigned Designs, a local, upscale consignment boutique. The website offers customers the ability to submit a wish list of favorite designers, and customers will be notified by e-mail when their favorites are in stock. Impulse Development was the proud recipient of 6 El Paso Advertising Federation ADDY Awards, including the Best of Show award for our work on the Hope and Anchor Jukebox Facebook application! We won gold ADDYs for the Wintercheck Factory website and the Hope and Anchor Jukebox Facebook app, and shared three ADDY awards with our talented friends at Viva Creative Group for the Geogeske website (gold), the Neon Desert Music Festival pre-lineup website (silver), and the Pizazz website (bronze).

Tembloroso Creative Lab is a unique project that we are thrilled to be a part of. We partnered with Jim Ward (badass musician), Kristine Ward (savvy businesswoman), and Armando Alvarez (designer extraordinaire) to build a website that provides a voice for El Paso's talented artists and musicians.
The new website features an online store where visitors can buy music, posters, shoes, stickers and much more. The website also includes daily blog updates, artist profiles highlighting unique people in our city, and a calendar of upcoming events.

Impulse Development is a 2010 ADDY Award Winner! Last month, El Paso’s Advertising Federation awarded Impulse Development with a bronze ADDY for our very own website! Teamed up with Viva Creative Group, we also won a bronze for the El Paso Marathon site and a gold for the RIPE Eatery site. Our friends at Viva went on to win eight more awards, giving them ten ADDYs total! We think the Rock Band 2 breaks are really paying off! Thanks to our family and friends for the continued support.

Amanda is Impulse Development’s first non-programmer. A 2008 advertising and public relations graduate from Texas Christian University, Amanda retired her sorority t-shirts and college life to move back to her hometown of El Paso to start her career in advertising and web development. As Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States today, we are proud to inaugurate the next version of the Impulse Development website.
Our original site was launched in December 2006, so it was definitely time to build a new site. The design process began in late December, and it took us about four weeks to complete the site from start to finish. A lot of designing, programming, and copywriting took place during that time, but we are very happy with the results.
The new site features updated staff biographies, a bunch of new work, and a new blog where Andy and I will post company news and thoughts on the web development industry. We even hid our Rock Band 2 scores somewhere on the site, so click around and try to find them.
